Acclaimed chef Will Meyrick embarks on a pilgrimage to Kolkata, seeking inspiration for new recipes to dish up at his world-famous restaurants. Will’s passion is “people’s food” and he finds it on bustling streets in cities all over the world. His is a journey into dishes with a rich history of culinary cultures. Will seeks secrets to inspire his incredible fusion dishes that have made his restaurants household names.
Join Will and venture down the alleyways of Kolkata to discover the Chinese, Arabic, Mongolian, British and even French influences in India’s vibrant street food scene. Back in the kitchen, where Will is at his most creative, he takes the heart and soul of Kolkata and crafts exciting inspired dishes in his quest to share authentic Indian flavours with fine-diners and food-lovers the world over.

Executive Producer / Producer – Marian Bartsch
Marian Bartsch produced many successful, award-winning factual entertainment and television documentaries including ABC’s landmark WWI documentary, “The Waler: Australia’s Great War Horse”, nominated for an AFI/AACTA Award for Best Cinematography, and Screen Producers Australia Award for Best Feature-Length Documentary. Others films award-winning films include “Hoover’s Gold” and “Life Architecturally”, nominated for Best Arts Documentary at the prestigious ATOM Awards. “The Fabulous Flag Sisters ” won Best Documentary at the Roma Film Festival. She has also produced many popular food travel series including “Surfing the Menu “ format (five series for Discovery and ABC ), ”Surfing the Menu the Next Generation”, ”Born to Cook “ with Jack Stein and “Recipes that Rock” with musician Alex James and “The Best in Australia” three series commissioned by Foxtel.
Director – David Holroyd
With over 30 years directing and producing in film and television David has written and directed two feature films, directed over 40 hours of prime time scripted drama for BBC One, ITV and Channel Four, shot and directed over 20 hours of factual for Discovery, National Geographic and HGTV, and series produced over 50 hours of factual programming for Discovery. He moved to Australia from London in 2016 but still works in both countries.
Producer – Matilda (Millie) Norrish
Matilda “Millie” has accumulated a wealth of experience working within the mediums of producing, line producing, and art direction. She has coordinated and executed multiple successful arts exhibitions, performances and events in notable Perth venues including The Rechabite and The Sewing Room. As a performer she has delivered renditions of Fringe Festival favourite productions collaborating with international touring performers. Her Digital Media Producing has seen her work in lead roles with established organisations such as The Art Gallery of Western Australia, and producer of ‘Pure Imagination’ for ABC Artworks.
